In the South Korean K League 1, players are typically paid on a gross
basis. This means the reported salaries include the total amount
before taxes and other deductions.
According to FIFPRO data, the non-payment risk in the South Korean K
League 1 is generally considered to be moderate. While the league is
relatively stable, there have been instances of delayed salary payments
in some clubs, particularly those facing financial issues.
Playing in the K League has been an incredible experience — it’s a
different style of football, and I’ve really embraced the challenge.
The culture here in South Korea is amazing, and the fans are so
passionate and welcoming. I’m enjoying every moment, both on
and off the pitch, and it’s been a great opportunity to grow as a
player and a person.
