Immigration Rules
The most commonly used visa by players is the E-6-3 (Entertainment/Sports Visa). The
initial visa period is for two years.
Player Requirements
A recommendation letter issued by the Korea Football Association or other affiliated
associations in Korea;
An employment contract issued by a club that is affiliated with the national football
governing body.
Dependents
Spouses and unmarried children under 19 can apply for an F-3 visa. Dependents will
receive a residence permit for the same duration as the player. Dependents can study in
South Korea but cannot work without a valid work permit. Accommodation and salary
requirements apply.
Applications
Applications can be submitted inside or outside South Korea. The E-6-3 visa can lead to
permanent residency after five years of continuous residence in South Korea.
