Important Financial Considerations
The top tax rate in Brazil is 27.5%.
Players have gross contracts but are paid on a net basis, meaning
taxes are deducted from their salaries before payment.
Tax residents in Brazil are taxed on their worldwide income, while
non-residents are taxed only on Brazilian-sourced income, such as
club salaries.
The risk of late or unpaid salaries is minimal, as players typically
receive their salaries on the same date each month, with delays being
rare.
The Brazilian Championship is, without a doubt, one of the most disputed
tournaments in the world. We easily have at least 6 to 8 clubs that can be the
champion. Every player wants to play in championships like the Brazilian one. And
it‘s no different with foreigners, who, in addition to competitiveness and visibility,
find excellent working conditions, good structures and stadiums, many of them
built for the 2014 World Cup and very attractive salaries. Furthermore, Brazil is a
country that can provide players and their families with an excellent life.
